Vibecheck Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 July 2026

Vibecheck is a two-player party game. This policy describes what data the app handles and why. The short version: we store the minimum needed to run a game between you and your friend, none of it is linked to your identity, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising.

What we store

Advertising

Vibecheck shows an occasional full-screen ad between rounds, provided by Google AdMob. To do this, AdMob receives your device's advertising identifier and basic device information, and may use it to show ads and measure their performance.

On iOS you are asked, via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether Vibecheck may track you across apps and websites. If you decline — or never answer — you still see ads, but they are non-personalised. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking. Users in the EU and UK are additionally shown a consent form before any ads load.

Google's handling of this data is described in their Privacy & Terms and how Google uses information from partner sites and apps.

What we don't do

Service providers

Game data is processed by Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) and, for notifications, Expo's push notification service — acting as data processors to run the game. Their privacy documentation: Firebase · Expo.

Your choices

Children

Vibecheck does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. There are no accounts and content is shared only between two people who exchange a private invite code.
